Acting 3: Classical (Grades 10-12)

Prerequisite: Acting 2 or permission from instructor.

Experienced actors further their skills through the exploration of classical work and how it differs from contemporary plays. Students will learn the fundamentals of iambic pentameter and other rythmic meter used in classical text. In the winter and spring, students will apply those skills to classical monologue, including poetry, Greek plays, and Shakespeare. The year culminates in a performance during an acting showcase.
