Acting 1: Monologues (Grades 8-10)

Teen actors are introduced to drama fundamentals and ensemble building through various exercises that help create a supportive enviroment for new actors to take chances.

In the fall, students learn about physicality, experiment with non-verbal scenes and practice using acting objectives. In the winter and spring, students learn about performance basics. The year culminates in working on a monologue to be performed in an acting showcase. Students learn to respond to coaching, feedback, and constructive criticism.
