Mary C. DeFeudis Performance Studio

Comprising of two adjoining studios (1A & 1B), separated by a removable wall, the Mary C. DeFeudis Performance Studio offers our largest space, comparable to The Hanover Theatre’s mainstage. A sprung marley floor, ballet barres and mirrors are standard in all of our studios, but this space can also be used as a small black box theater. Studio 1B features theatrical lighting and sound, allowing it to be used as a mini stage while Studio 1A can seat a small audience of 75. In addition to classes, this sizeable studio will be utilized to offer on-site master classes with visiting productions. Rehearsals for the theatre’s Youth Summer Programs and annual production of A Christmas Carol will be held in this studio each summer and winter.

Practice Rooms

Three sound-proof practice rooms equipped with keyboards will provide students with the opportunity to receive private vocal lessons.

Music Room

Slightly larger than the practice rooms, the music room is equipped with a keyboard and provides an additional space for private vocal lessons or small group rehearsals.

Resource Room

The resource room will be a space primarily for staff, but will include a library of scripts for students to use in preparation for auditions or scene studies.

Wardrobe Room

Housing the theatre and conservatory’s supply of costumes, this sizeable closet hosts an array of costumes for a variety of shows and time periods.

A new 2,474 square foot costume storage area is now being planned and outfitted with clothing racks, shelving and storage bins! This will allow for greater use by conservatory students and also provide costume rental opportunities to community groups.

Costumes make the role a reality and your contribution ensures that every performer, from the budding artist to the seasoned talent, has access to a fully equipped costume closet. Now through June 30, 2024, make a gift to have it matched, dollar for dollar, up to $5,000 and help THTC reach its goal.
