Access to the Arts

Imagine… a vibrant performing arts school in the heart of Worcester’s new theatre district.

Building a great cultural institution takes imagination, leadership, hard work and most importantly community support.

Your donation to the Access to the Arts Fund will support the creation of a new performing arts conservatory adjacent to The Hanover Theatre.  7,500 square feet of space in the new 551 Main Street building will house rehearsal rooms, dance and performance studios, a theatrical lighting lab, practice rooms and other teaching spaces.

With these new spaces and the creation of a full time education department, we will significantly expand our impact and offerings to youth of many backgrounds, age groups and interests. Our programs will include world class teaching artists, performing arts classes for all ages, expanded summer theatre programs, daytime arts education, master classes with visiting artists and technical theatre apprenticeships.

Our region has been greatly underserved in performing arts education, and we are prepared and excited to fill the need with high caliber education and enrichment opportunities.

Because of your past support we will continue to provide the following community and outreach programs:

Youth Summer Program

Adopt-A-School program

Student critics program

Goddard Scholars program

Motivational speakers program

Sensory-Autism-friendly performance for A Christmas Carol

And many other important programs!

Your generous contribution today will bring this new conservatory for theperforming arts to fruition, and make the arts accessible to all.

“Without a doubt, this weekend has been the highlight of this entire tour for me. Thank you to South High for putting so much love into what you do. What a blessing to be a part of this and witness the joy, enthusiasm, and dreams in the hearts of these young people. "
