Vital cities have vital downtowns, and vital downtowns have great professional theatre.
Through December 31, 2023, the McDonough Foundation will match your donation, dollar for dollar, up to $1.5 million. Right now, you can double the impact of your support and help turn $1.5 million into $3 million. Your gift to THT Rep will allow us to pursue inclusive casting, set equitable ticket prices and choose titles that work well for the general public and our student audiences.
Our family is incredibly proud to have funded the Jean McDonough Arts Center (JMAC), which serves as home to the BrickBox Theater. It’s only logical that we should now support THT Rep in its efforts to animate the BrickBox with professional plays.
Lisa McDonough, Chair of the Board of Directors, The Hanover Theatre & Conservatory
A new initiative, THT Rep produces theatrical events made in and for Worcester, with a focus on classics, modern classics and classics-inspired works. THT Rep not only furthers the mission of The Hanover Theatre at large, but also helps manifest the vision of the BrickBox Theater as a home for professional plays in Worcester, filling a void that has existed since the closing of Worcester Foothills Theatre in 2007.
For more information about the THT Rep Challenge Grant, please contact Linda Rosenlund, Vice President of Advancement, at 508.471.1755 or [email protected].
THT Rep and the BrickBox are perfect for the intimate staging of dramatic plays. We are incredibly grateful to the McDonough family for their support.
Troy Siebels, President and CEO, The Hanover Theatre & Conservatory

THT Rep launched with its 2020 offerings of The Edgar Allan Poe Double Header and A Christmas Carol: Reimagined before making its first big splash in August 2021 with Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar, which played free and open to the public on the Worcester Common.
