New to THT?
We want you to have a great experience before, during and after your visit. Here is an overview of THT and some answers to first-time visitors' commonly asked questions.
Who & Where We Are
With a sweeping grand staircase and elegant chandeliers, The Hanover Theatre and Conservatory for the Performing Arts transports its audience back to the time when a night out at the theatre was one of the most delightful entertainment options available. Today, it serves as a center of culture, education and community.
As a nonprofit organization, our mission is to ignite and nurture a passion for the performing arts in audiences and artists of today and tomorrow. We strive to be a dynamic downtown destination where all people can experience the transformative power of the performing arts.
We have two main venues where we present shows and events, plus the Conservatory & Event Center and the Bank of America Stage on Francis R. Carroll Plaza in front of The Hanover Theatre. Inspect your order confirmation and read your show reminder email carefully so you know where to go.

Buying Tickets
We work hard to ensure all visitors have a great experience from start to finish, and how you get your tickets plays a major role in that. This website is the quickest way to find a great seat and purchase tickets. While browsing events on our site, narrow your search by utilizing our venue and/or genre filters or using the search bar at the top of the listing.
When it comes to spotting scalpers and unauthorized resellers, the ticket price is one of the biggest red flags. Broadway at THT starts at $40 in the orchestra with top dollar tickets up to $129. Scalpers have been known to try and resell these same seats for up to $700 a piece!
The #1 way to ensure you are getting the best seats at the best price is to sign up to receive emails with this quick and easy form.

Preparing For Your Visit
Dress Code
We welcome everyone as they are. If you feel like looking your best, great! If not, you can relax and know that, unless otherwise specified in an event invitation or similar, the dress for theatre is casual but large hats are discouraged as they may block views of the stage.
Arrival Time
It’s recommended that you plan to arrive at the theatre 30-45 minutes prior to the performance to allow for parking, security, etc. Typically the lobby opens 1 hour prior to the performance and doors to the theatre seating area opens 30 minutes prior.
Entry and On-Site Help
We have house managers and ushers at every performance to check your tickets, help you find your seats or answer any questions about your experience in the theatre. Look for someone with a name tag and, if you have a question they can’t answer, they can help you find someone who will.
Inclement Weather Policy
It is generally impossible for touring shows and performances to be rescheduled, and so we do not cancel events due to inclement weather. Explore our FAQs for more information.
