Sensory-Friendly Performance of A Christmas Carol
Same iconic story, all new production.
December 17th 2025, 4:00 pm
Run time: Approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes, including intermission
Adapted by Main Stage Artistic Director, Troy Siebels, The Hanover Theatre proudly presents our 18th annual production of A Christmas Carol. Award-winning set designer, Kelly James Tighe brings the show to new heights with fresh scenery creating the perfect playground for state-of-the art projections and innovative lighting design. New York based, John Little, reprises the epic role of Ebenezer Scrooge noted to be “simply marvelous as the bitter old cheapskate” (METRMag).
Featuring original music composed by Worcester’s own Steve Gagliastro, this festive holiday favorite is accompanied by the Mighty Wurlitzer for A Christmas Carol that is timeless, nostalgic, and one-of-a-kind.
Be sure to get seated early to enjoy a special pre-show concert featuring the largest and most versatile theatre pipe organ in New England, led by accomplished organist Sean Redrow.
I have noticed laughter and reactions to things that are often missed at a regular performance… it is clear that the audience is totally engaged.

What Makes This Performance Special
This performance is intended for guests who are neurodivergent, have sensory sensitivities and need additional accessibility accommodations. With guidance from The Arc of Opportunity, The Autism Alliance, The Autism in Theatre Initiative and The Seven Hills Foundation, we have softened the most startling moments of the show. House lights are kept on for the entirety of the performance and sounds are lower in volume and intensity.
Accommodations of support will be provided, including a quiet area for individuals and families that need a break from the experience where staff and volunteers can assist patrons’ needs. Sensory kits are available at our concierge desk.
All-In Pricing: Including all fees, tickets to the sensory-friendly performance of A Christmas Carol are $52.50, $47.50 and $37.50 depending on seat location. Save on handling fees in person at The Hanover Theatre box office. Contact the box office at 877.571.7469 for more information.
