Acting & Theatre

Creative Drama 1 and Performance (Grades 4-5)

Smiling girl with braces and pink glasses, hands cupping her face, in focus; a blurred person with arms raised in the background.

Beginning actors explore games and exercises that develop listening skills, sensory awareness, focus, and teamwork.

In the fall, students will learn fundamental skills that are in every actor’s toolkit, including storytelling and using their bodies to create character, express emotion, and establish environment. In the winter and spring, students use these skills to develop a short monologue which they share in a voluntary showcase at the end of the year.
