Where is the JMAC?

The JMAC, home of the Worcester PopUp and the BrickBox Theater, is located in downtown Worcester on the first floor of 20 Franklin Street, directly across from City Hall and the corner of the Worcester Common.

What is the Worcester PopUp?

The PopUp is a gallery-style space where local artists, organizations and creatives can develop a variety of events ranging from art shows and open mics to yoga classes and lessons in drag. Public gallery hours are Wednesday to Sunday from 2pm to 6pm. Site visits and meetings are available by appointment.

What is the BrickBox Theater?

The BrickBox is a flexible, black box style theater great for a wide range of performances and events, and where The Hanover Theatre Repertory (THT Rep) calls home.

What is THT Rep?

THT Rep, or The Hanover Theatre Repertory, is our resident theatre company that performs at the BrickBox Theater.

How do I get to the JMAC from The Hanover Theatre and Conservatory?

The JMAC is a short walk from THT. To get there, head north on Main Street toward City Hall and turn right on Federal Street. The JMAC is located on the first floor of 20 Franklin Street, directly across from City Hall and the corner of the Worcester Common.

Is there a box office at the JMAC?

No, box office staff is only on-site at the JMAC for ticketed BrickBox Theater events.

Tickets to BrickBox events and performances can be purchased online, over the phone or in-person at The Hanover Theatre box office. Visit the JMAC website for a full list of upcoming events at the PopUp and BrickBox Theater.

The box office is located at at 2 Southbridge Street in downtown Worcester.

Where should I park? Is there accessible parking?

Parking is available at the Federal Plaza Garage and the Worcester Common Garage. Accessible parking spots are located on each floor of the parking garages. Street parking meters are enforced Monday to Saturday from 8am to 8pm. Street parking on Sundays and holidays is free of charge. There is limited accessible street parking on Federal Street.

Are there concessions on site?

While concessions are available during most public BrickBox Theater events, offering beer, wine, malt beverages, water and popcorn, they are not available for all PopUp events.

Is there a lost and found?

Yes, lost and found is located at the JMAC’s front desk.

Is there an ATM on site?

No, there isn’t an ATM at the JMAC, but several are available nearby on Franklin Street and Main Street.
