Acting & Theatre
Physical Theatre: Character Work (Teens & Adults)
This new class focuses on giving the actor tools to build a character from the realm of physical theatre.
Students will explore exercises that draw from the actors’ imagination and deepen their sensorial exploration, as well as expand the actor’s physical repertoire. Characters such as animals, historical figures and specific characters from plays will be worked on. The semester will conclude with short scenes that integrate the work in both levels. This class is movement and ensemble based. Students are required to wear comfortable clothing that will not inhibit their movement.
