Event Description

A beloved Worcester tradition, the Worcester Chamber Music Society annual free family concert brings music to life. John Deak’s “Eeyore Has A Birthday” is a fun telling of grumpy, old Eeyore. The Hanover Theatre Conservatory Youth Ballet Company joins WCMS musicians on stage for Saint-Saen’s “Carnival of the Animals.” The story-telling through music and dance together create a memorable experience for the entire family. Stay after the show for a free meet and greet on the stage.
Musicians include:
Tracy Kraus, flute
Peter Sulski and Rohan Gregory, violins
Joshua Gordon, cello
Randall Hodgkinson, piano
With guests:
William Kirkley, clarinet
Ashleigh Gordon, viola
Nathan Varga, double bass
Aaron Trant, marimba
Neighborhood Strings, Worcester Chamber Music Society's inner-city strings program for at-risk youth, will open the concert.
Admission is free, but reservations are required. Contact the box office at 877.571.SHOW (7469) for more information.
