Student Critic ProgramNew this year, students on a pre-professional track in our conservatory for the performing arts are selected to participate in this free educational program.
The Student Critic Program is intended for those students who are passionate about the arts, hold a critical eye and aren’t afraid to speak their mind. During our season, Student Critics attend eight Broadway-style shows. Following each performance, students participate in post-show group discussions with a conservatory faculty member and share their thoughts and opinions about the production.
This program aims to expose our talented young artists to the theatre’s varied offerings and broaden their ability to think critically. The post-show discussions allow students to witness the varied opinions of their peers, understand the importance of feedback and value its role in the professional world. Students learn to communicate professionally while developing their own technical vocabulary and artistic vision.
