    Capitol Steps brings their “de-mock-racy” to Worcester

    WORCESTER, Mass. (October 17, 2017) The group that elevated political satire to an art form visits The Hanover Theatre for the Performing Arts on Sunday, April 29, 2018 at 2 p.m. The Capitol Steps, a Washington DC-based comedy troupe that began as a group of Senate staffers, will present a show based on songs from their current album “Orange is the New Barack.” Tickets are now on sale to theatre members and go on sale to the public Tuesday, October 24 at 10 a.m.

    WORCESTER, Mass. (October 17, 2017) – Tickets are now on sale for the RENT 20th Anniversary Tour at The Hanover Theatre for the Performing Arts, playing Thursday, April 5 through Sunday, April 8, 2018. RENT is generously sponsored by Baystate Savings, with media support from 96-1 WSRS.

    Peppa Pig’s Surprise live stage show to visit Worcester

    WORCESTER, Mass. (October 16, 2017) Worcester has a big “surprise” for local fans of Entertainment One and Nick Jr.’s top-rated TV series. The newest North American Peppa Pig Live tour, Peppa Pig’s Surprise, visits The Hanover Theatre for the Performing Arts May 11, 2018 for one performance only. Tickets go on sale to theatre members on Tuesday, October 17 at 10 a.m. and to the public on Friday, October 20 at 10 a.m.

    The Hanover Theatre names new general manager

    Worcester, Mass. (September 18, 2017) The Hanover Theatre for the Performing Arts is pleased to announce that Glen Grusmark has joined the theatre in the newly created position of general manager. Grusmark will oversee day-to-day operations of the 2,300-seat theatre.

    The Hanover Theatre announces anniversary design contest

    Worcester, Mass. (SEPTEMBER 18, 2017) The Hanover Theatre for the Performing Arts is now accepting designs for a logo to identify its 10-year anniversary season. The theatre has reached its goal of being one of the finest performing arts centers in New England and will celebrate its anniversary beginning in March 2018. Anyone with a creative eye and a passion for design may submit an innovative and professional logo concept. All ideas are welcome, but logos should be recognizable and help promote the organization’s mission “to foster a love and appreciation for the performing arts in audiences of today and tomorrow.”
