    Worcester, Mass. (April 17, 2018)The Hanover Theatre and Conservatory for the Performing Arts was awarded a grant from the Worcester Arts Council to facilitate a Creative Drama Workshop in collaboration with Pernet Family Health Services.

    The Hanover Theatre for the Performing Arts named to Kennedy Center’s Partners in Education Program

    Worcester, Mass. (April 17, 2018) The Hanover Theatre and Conservatory for the Performing Arts was recently selected to participate in the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts’ Partners in Education Program, a nationally recognized program designed to help arts organizations develop and expand education partnerships with local school systems. The theatre is the first venue in Massachusetts to be accepted into this prestigious program, which will assist in the expansion of The Hanover Theatre’s relationship with the Worcester Public Schools. It is rooted in the belief that supporting the professional learning of teachers is an essential component of promoting the inclusion of arts in education.

    KANSAS coming to Worcester with the “Point of Know Return” tour

    Worcester, Mass. (March 19, 2018) America’s preeminent progressive rock band KANSAS will tour select U.S. cities this fall, celebrating the 40th anniversary of their massive hit album “Point of Know Return” and performing the album in its entirety. The tour will showcase more than two hours of classic KANSAS music including hit songs, deep cut, and fan favorites, making a stop at The Hanover Theatre and Conservatory for the Performing Arts on Saturday, November 17 at 8 p.m. Tickets go on sale to theatre members Wednesday, March 21 at 10 a.m. and go on sale to the general public Friday, March 23 at 10 a.m.

    Local comes home for Jersey Boys

    WORCESTER, Mass. (March 16, 2018) When the actual curtain goes up on Jersey Boys, the person calling all the technical cues behind the scenes is no stranger to The Hanover Theatre stage.  Zachary Tucker started his career as a high school intern on the theatre’s annual production of A Christmas Carol. Now he is returning to the theatre as stage manager for the national tour of the Broadway blockbuster, Jersey Boys.
