Youth auditions

Audition Date: September 9, 12:30 PM -  6:30 PM

For performers age 16 and under

Available Roles:

[TURKEY BOY] Male, 10-14 years old, a ragamuffin; Low British/Cockney accent.
 
[YOUNG SCROOGE] Caucasian, male, 8-12 years old, neglected and thoughtful.
 
[TINY TIM] Male or female, 6-8 years old, walks with a crutch, weak but ever optimistic.
 
[FAN] Female, 7-9 years old, a bundle of youthful excitement, although frail; British accent.
 
[MARTHA CRATCHIT] Female, 14-16 years old, the first child, protective of her sister and brothers.
 
[BELINDA CRATCHIT] Female, 7-11 years old, bubbly and fun loving.
 
[GHOST OF CHRISTMAS PAST] Any ethnicity, female, 10-12 years old, seemingly innocent, but with immeasurable knowledge and wisdom. Strong actress. Soprano. Dance ability a plus. 
 
Additional youth ensemble roles available.

Auditions sides will be provided at the time of requesting an appointment. Children should be prepared to sing an a capella version of “Deck the Halls.” Having an appointment is strongly recommended. Performers of all ethnic and racial backgrounds are encouraged to attend.
 

Equity principal auditions

[BELLE] Any ethnicity. 20s, Female. Wise beyond her years. Must be good with harmonies. STRONG DANCER.
 
[LUCY] Any ethnicity. 20s, Female. The ‘life of the party’. Must be good with harmonies. STRONG DANCER.
 
[YOUNG EBENEZER] Caucasian. 20s, male. Full of vigor, but stubborn. Must be good with harmonies. Comfortable with light dance movement.

Please prepare a short song or 16 bars, holiday or traditional Broadway preferred. An accompanist and reader will be provided. Please provide a headshot and resume. Auditions sides will be provided at the time of requesting an appointment. An appointment is strongly recommended. Performers of all ethnic and racial backgrounds are encouraged to attend.

Nutcracker

Nutcracker Auditions

The Hanover Theatre and Conservatory production of The Nutcracker plays November 23-25. In addition to rehearsals, dancers cast in the production who are not enrolled in the conservatory will be required to enroll in the 10-week Ballet Clinic.

Audition times

Sunday, September 9 
Please note, audition fee of $45 (cash only) is required at the audition

9 AM to 11 AM, ages 13+ (bring pointe shoes if you have two+ years of training)
11:30 AM to 1 PM, ages 10 to 12
1:15 PM to 3 PM, ages 7 to 9

Please bring in at minimum, a 5x7 headshot of your child for the audition. Note: This picture will not be returned. 
Also bring proof of child’s date of birth (birth certificate).
 

Call back sessions

Call backs are the same day as the audition! Please plan accordingly. 
If you do not return for your call back, your audition will be terminated.
 
3:15 PM to 4:30 PM, ages 7 to 9
4:45 PM to 6 PM, ages 10 to 12
6:15 PM to 7:30 PM, ages 13+
